I've been slacking off commenting for a while, but I'm still in love with the picture of Desperados out for a casual stroll without his saddle; and Illuminati, I just always want to give him snuggles and carrots because he deserves them for being so gorgeous. And Roy! He's adorable and looks like a very loyal dog <3

Xantippa L doing some x-country
It was time to start the x-country training for our eventer now that the ground isn't too soft and muddy, first out on the course was Xantippa L and her rider Catrin. Tippa is still quite young so they took it slow but Tippa loved every second of it <3

Well this is gonna be an odd post... I've been debating with myself if I was gonna post the 2nd picture here at all but then I thought why not, it's still related to Stall Lindens after all.
Day & Night Some might describe Tess as a cold person who doesn't show many emotions but there is so much more underneath the surface. She has been through a tough past but she's a survivor, some say that she's a living miracle even. Tess feels like she was born with bad luck, she's trying to stay positive and she has great friends that lightens the mood and she loves them all deeply from the bottom of her heart <3 Despite everything she's been through she decided a long time ago to live life to the fullest and enjoy every single moment of it, she has always had a weak spot for sport cars. She have no idea why she likes them so much, no one else in her family had the same interest but it's something with the cars that gives her goosebumps. When she got the opportunity to buy her dream car she took it without any hesitation! One of the things she enjoys the most is to take her pride and joy out for a spin when things are slow at the stables, just drive around on the streets to collect her thoughts or listen to some good music. One day she was asked to do a photoshoot with the car during nighttime for a magazine, she agreed to it if she could wear her normal clothes since she didn't wanna risk on being forced to wear something she would feel uncomfortable in.
It was a busy day that day, they were gonna have a photoshoot at the beach nearby the stables during the day with one of the horses. Tess knew that she didn't have to attend it but she wanted to. The horse that was being photographed was Pokerface L, he was one of Tess' favorites in the stables. She had hoped for a palomino stallion with chrome from that combination and when he was born he was the most precious thing she had ever seen <3 He had a rough start, he was quite weak and wasn't able to stand on his own so Tess had to stay awake for the entire night to keep an eye on him and feed him with the bottle in order to give him the much needed raw milk. Poker finally gained some strenght when the night turned into morning and was able to stand up and with the caring help of the mare he finally began to suckle on his own, Tess could finally relax for the first time since that afternoon. When the staff entered the stables for their workday she handed over the responsibility to them and headed straight to the bed and slept for 12 hours straight. Poker and Tess had a special bond thanks to that night and even if he's grown up now he's still her baby.
The photoshoot at the beach went well and the results was amazing, time flew by though so Tess was heading back home just as the sun was about the set at the horizon. She took a quick shower and washed her hair from all the dust and what not, she wasn't gonna have time to fix it properly so all she did was to blowdry it and put it in a ponytail, she picked her favorite clothes got dressed and headed out to the garage. Once on the road, she turned on the music and relaxed. She had about 1 hours drive to the city where the photoshoot with the car was gonna be, thankfully it was midweek so it wasn't much traffic and the ride went smoothly.
Tess arrived to the destination with some time to spare, the ones in charge of the photoshoot wanted it to be pitch black outside to get the the right atmosphere for the picture but she didn't mind waiting. She was leaning on the car and scrolled through her phone while she waited, in the corner of her eye she could see people in the distant staring curiously towards them. She was used to looks, the car itself drew a lot of attention normally but now with cameras being rigged and spotlights everywhere... well you get the idea. It was finally time to take the pictures, time to pose! They wanted it to be a casual picture so she didn't have to do much more than act normal and look in the direction she was being told to.
When the photoshoot was over it was close to midnight, it had been a long but eventful day. Tess felt the tiredness creeping up on her so she decided to make a quick stop before she was heading home again and grab a burger to get some energy. She knew about a restaurant nearby that was open 24/7 so she drove down to it, she didn't feel like going inside so she ordered through the drive in instead. Tess got a call from Gabriel while she was eating who wanted to ask how it had gone and to keep her up to date on how things had been at the stables while she was gone. That was one of the few rules Tess had, she wanted to be up to date regarding everything at the stables. Gabriel is an amazing co-owner and she trust him to 100% but she doesn't like being left out and not knowing every detail about everything, yes she's a control freak without a doubt but she has tried it the other way, to let go of some of the control and it only caused her anxiety and she has had plenty of that already over the last couple of years. With that on her mind she finished her meal and headed back home, she was definitely gonna sleep in the next morning, she deserved it! Back at the house Tess took a quick look at her phone once she was laying down in her bed, 1:09AM... She sighed deeply, put away the phone, closed her eyes and soon she was sleeping.

It's this time of the year when the foals are being born but this year it's different, at least for us. We won't have any foals this year but since I mentioned Poker's rough start in the previous post I thought that I should show a picture of him as a foal <3 We're blessed that he even made it but we had a great vet who helped us out whenever we needed. He's grown into a strong and healthy horse and we couldn't be more happy, he will always be Tess baby though <3
